Krogh is an essential figure in Nordic painting, and one whose prolific life spans the tumultuous period of the early 20th century and the Great War. For the first time ever Skagen Museum presents a large exhibition of the Norwegian painter Christian Krohg’s (1852-1925) paintings from Skagen. The exhibition is arranged in collaboration with the Lillehammer Art Museum in Norway, and several Nordic museums have lent major works for the exhibition. Furthermore, included are a number of privately owned works. This exhibition catalogue consists of approximately 40 works and is the largest ever presentation of Krogh’s Skagen paintings.
