ANDERSEN, MORTEN: OSLO F..
Author: Andersen, Morten
Year: 2005
Country or State of Origin: Denmark
A book published by a young photographer himself, which is impressive enough. But it’s the third book of Morten Andersen and his style is developing fast. It’s a book about the streets of Oslo with the old buildings and stairways of the 19th century, a book about friends and the walk from the studio back home. The black and white tones are astonishing.

Andy Pape: LEONORA CHRISTINE 2 CD’s + 87 Page Booklet.. Dronning af Blaataarn (Queen of Blaataarn)
Author: Guillamume, Edith, Maria Stenz, Jens Bruno Hansen
Year: 2001
Country or State of Origin: Denmark
Andy Pape, born in California in 1955, came to Denmark at the age of fifteen. With his chamber opera The Great Houdini, Pape had an unusual musical breakthrough in 1988. His catalogue as a composer includes instrumental theatre compositions as well as orchestral and chamber music with a fondness for distinctive instrument combinations and frequent use of percussion. This opera was conceived after Pape was captivated by the sound of two women’s voices together, Maria Stenz and Edith Guillaume. Although they were trained in seperate traditions (classical opera and the chanson/cabaret tradition), he thought they sounded extraordinarily good together.

ANNIKA VON HAUSSWOLFF: DOMESTIC SCULPTURE 1999-2003.
Author: Zeipel, Agneta Von, Curator
Year: 2004
Country or State of Origin: Sweden
In the 1990s and thereafter Annika von Hausswolff became established as one of the leading figures in Swedish and Scandinavian contemporary art. Many of her photographic works have already become classics. She is one of the Swedish artists who has received most notice internationally in recent years and she has represented Sweden at several major exhibitions including the Venice Biennial in 1999. She belongs to a generation of young, women artists who have used photographic images conceptually with a clear gender perspective and a critically analytical approach. The exhibition comprises almost 50 works and this makes it one of the larger shows of her work to be presented in recent years.

AT HOME IN SWEDEN 1900-2000.
Author: Snidare, Uuve
Year: 2002
Country or State of Origin: Sweden
Join Snidare as she visits Swedish homes from the last 100 years. We meet architects, artists, wholesalers and families with children. In homes adapted for town life or for summer sojourns, from large villas and apartments to small flats. In all, the author describes over thirty homes created during the 20th century and at the start of the 21st. Each decade has an introductory history of its designers, housing policies and trends. 1960s chipboard furniture, 1940s Bruno Mathsson armchairs, Myran chairs, Stig Lindberg cups and the teenager’s favourite from the 1950s - the bat chair - are all here. As, too, repainted second-hand, designed and minimalistic homes. Each has ideas for homemakers of the 21st century. Be inspired by this generously illustrated book which mirrors the entire 20th century in Scandinavian design - a book full of contemporary history, nostalgia and Swedish design history.
