With his visionary, intensely colorful home furnishings, Danish designer Panton sought ways to fashion a stylistically uniform, imaginative interior. His plastic Panton chair, a one-piece cantilevered design made in candy-apple colors, has been in production continuously since 1968, and its sinuous shape is recognizable to millions who have never heard the designer’s name.
